How to prepare for the EEG test?
1. Please wash your hair and do not use hair spray, creams or oils on the day of the test.

2. Do not take any medication just before the test.

3. Children must be in a sleep state for this test to be performed. For children over 3 years, it is important to bring them for the test at a time when the child can take a nap and go to sleep during the recording. You may bring their favourite music or video if that you think that will help.

4. For babies and infants, please remember to bring feeding bottles (filled), soothers and other items necessary that will help keep your child calm.

What to expect during the test?
The procedure involves applying small button-like electrodes on the head using a special cream (that washes out easily). Then, you will be asked to lie on the bed and relax closing your eyes. We are able to get more information and a better recording if you are able to fall asleep during the test.
